Glimpse for X (“Glimpse,” “we”) is a browser extension that previews X (Twitter) content in a floating panel. This policy explains what data the extension handles and what we do (and don’t) do with it.
Glimpse does not track your browsing, run analytics, or sell data. The only personal data we collect is your email address — and only if you choose to buy Glimpse Pro. Free users provide nothing.
If you subscribe to Pro, we collect your email address to identify your subscription, verify it’s you with a one-time code, and restore Pro across your devices. We store your email, plan, and subscription status on our own server solely to provide the paid features. We never sell or share it.
Saved threads, reading history, and your preferences are stored only in your browser’s local storage, on your own device. This data never leaves your machine and is not accessible to us. You can clear it any time from within the extension, or by removing the extension.
When you hover an X link, Glimpse uses your existing, already-logged-in X browser session to request that public content from X so it can be shown in the panel. These requests go directly from your browser to X. Glimpse does not store your X credentials and never sees your password.
If you use the translation feature, the text of the post you choose to translate is sent to Google’s public translation endpoint to return a translation. No account information is included.
Payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and handled by Stripe under their privacy policy — Glimpse never receives or stores your card information. We receive only your email and subscription status.
Browser permissions are used solely to provide the features described above and for no other purpose.
You can cancel any time from the extension’s Account tab (via Stripe’s portal). To have your email and subscription record deleted from our server, email us and we’ll remove it.
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date will change accordingly.
